Selling my 1973 Porsche 911 T. Trans and engine numbers matching per Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. I've owned this car since 1999 and did a bare-metal respray in 2003. Original color was Light Ivory (Paint Code 11) resprayed in Guards Red. See pic of COA for optional equipment. Original mileage is unknown.
The Good:
Numbers matching. Engine: 6130601 Trans: 330834 Can supply photos of the engine/trans numbers.Absolutely no rust anywhere. I can supply photos of the underside if requested.Paint is 9.5 out of 10. As mentioned, I did a window-out, door and fender-off, bare-metal respray respray in 2003. All body seals and gaskets have been replaced and are in great condition. Sills and jams in perfect shape. Have photos of the work completed that I can provide.$6k Motor-out service completed by Larry Marzano (check him out on Pelican Parts) in 2013. Compression/Leak-Down was checked and within spec. Fuels lines, CV joints, carbs cleaned and adjusted, oil leaks fixed. Can provide photos and details of entire service. Runs strong.Original interior (minus door panels, armrests and pockets, which I have)New'ish coco mats (black/grey)Original tool kit and jackThe Bad:
Non-original color.Small tear on driver's side seat seam (about 3/4"). Can be fixed by an upholsterer. Odometer not workingDash cap installed, but not adhered. Original dash has one crack in the middle of the dashSmall amount of overspray on the headliner near passenger's head and upholstery behind driver's seat. Can probably be removed, but I never tried.Non-factory radio. 90's Alpine CD unit. When removing the rear window the defrost wires were damaged. So, I didn't reconnect them. They are bundled in the engine compartment. No MFI. Italian Webers installed and I don't have the original parts.RS-style door panels installed due to the poor shape of the original door pockets. Everything else on the original door panels are fine.Seat belts do not retract well. Can be used as-is, but I was planning to replace.Turn signal lenses and housings are in medium-shape. There are a couple of minor cracks in the lenses here and there. The housings are somewhat corroded and I had some grounding issues. I added redundant grounds to all of the turn signals. They work perfectly now. Wiring is easily removable and I didn't drill anything to add.Carb throttle shafts have some play, which causes very minor popping when transitioning off to some throttle. Larry said it was normal wear and recommended that I not re-bush. Overall, a great car. I've enjoyed it for many years and I'm hoping to find a good care-taker for the next 15 years. E-mail me with any questions.
